One of our Early Years apprentices has been shortlisted for a prestigious world nursery award.

Skye has been nominated for ‘Early Years Apprentice of the Year’ at the coveted industry honours. The annual awards shine a light on best practice and help to raise the profile of the sector.

Nursery Apprentice with children

An apprentice with Fit ‘N’ Fun Kids in Falmouth, Skye is currently studying her Level Three Apprenticeship in Early Years at Truro and after feedback from parents and peers was nominated by the nursery’s owner for the award for her passion, fun, and natural ability to teach.

Rachel Jones Owner Director of FitFun Nurseries said: “This is a tremendous achievement and against extremely tough competition.”

Skye says the nomination has boosted her self-confidence and led her to apply to work at a children’s summer camp in America before going to university.
