Leading artists and stylists are making the cut for Cornwall’s only hair, beauty, and complementary therapies showcase, giving aspiring students the chance to meet and be inspired by some of the best in the industry.
Salon Cornwall, the annual showcase run by Truro and Penwith College, is celebrating its sixth year with headline acts including London Hairdresser of The Year and Wella guest artist Jordanna Cobella.
The event is coming back with a bang after restrictions from the Covid-19 pandemic. The fully funded hair and beauty trade show will be hosted in the University Centre Truro and Penwith College, Fal Building, on 26 March 2023 from 10am to 3pm.

The one-of-a-kind show in Cornwall will provide attendees with professional development workshops and demonstrations, and give unique access to new products and tips on upcoming trends with sustainability and mental wellbeing as the main theme.
There will be many industry experts in attendance at Salon Cornwall, including Makeup Artist and Hairstylist Victoria Penrose, known for her roles within the TV Industry, who is returning to her Cornish roots with an inspirational demo and talk.
Award-winning barber, public speaker and international educator, Tom Chapman, part of the Lion Barbers Collective which raises awareness for suicide prevention, will be motivating guests with a talk on ‘How to Listen so They Will Talk’.
The UK’s market-leading awarding organisation in hair, barbering and beauty qualifications, VTCT, will be delivering a demonstration on afro textured hair with an industry specialist and local radio station, Pirate FM, will be in attendance on the day compering on the main stage and broadcasting live.
In addition to the demos and talks, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, highlighting careers, skills gaps in the industry and how to overcome these with modern techniques and toolkits.

There will also be food and refreshments available to purchase throughout the day from local Cornish businesses.
