Business Masterclass - Developing Confidence & Resillience

This course is ideal for anyone with an interest in or responsibility for building an effective team. The ability of organisations to attract and retain talent is crucial to their continued success. Developing a sustainable “pipeline of talent” enables greater resilience, increased opportunities for growth and a more motivated, productive workforce. As the competition for talent intensifies discover how you can become a genuine employer of choice for new and existing team members.

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to reflect on their own talent management approaches, comparing with and reviewing alternative approaches and current practice through discussion. The course will explore the benefits, risks and opportunities related to developing talent; attendees will gain a renewed, inspired and energised perspective - allowing them to consider a range of options that will enable an effective approach to managing the pipeline of talent and workforce.

Programme Content:

  • Defining your definition of 'talent', and what it means to 'manage talent'
  • The importance and benefits of developing talent
  • How much priority should you give to developing talent? Understanding the risks, barriers and challenges
  • Reflection on where you are and where you want to be in terms of developing and 'holding onto your talent'
  • Insight into and discussion regarding current talent management strategies - what could work for you?
  • Understanding and discussing the 'modern employee' and reflection on achieving harmony between the 'organisation' and 'employee' need
  • Developing an appropriate 'retention strategy'

What next?

The college offers a wide range of management seminars and courses. These include; Level 2 Award in Leadership and Team Skills; Level 3 Award or Certificate in Leadership and Management; Level 3 Award in Coaching. Alternatively, learners could progress onto the ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management.
