Share Your Skills

The Share Your Skills event is an exciting chance to explore potential employment opportunities at one of the best colleges in the country.

The Share Your Skills event, hosted at Truro & Penwith College, is an opportunity for you to view our exceptional facilities, hear insights from current staff members and discover more about careers in teaching.

Beyond the scheduled activities, we extend an invitation for you to explore the exciting prospect of joining our dynamic team at Truro & Penwith College.

Our representatives will be on hand during the event to discuss potential employment opportunities, address any questions you may have about working with us, and offer insights into the vibrant community at Truro & Penwith College.

What are Industry Expert Tutors?

If you’re an industry expert with real world skills in engineering, manufacturing, maths, digital, IT, construction, or health & social care, then we want to hear from you.

Truro & Penwith College is committed to building a teaching community of experts, to create better futures for their students, their college and themselves. Securing better futures by improving the present, we place teaching, learning and student success at the centre of everything we do.

Why become an Industry Expert Tutor with us?

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of specialists who are truly passionate about what they do. Working in state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll deliver your unique expertise to the next generation of industry leaders.

You don’t necessarily need previous teaching experience or qualifications, but you will have great real-world experience, an interest in the future of your industry, and you’ll be on top of the latest innovations, technologies, and processes in your field.

Truro & Penwith is one of the best colleges in the country, a fact recognised by Ofsted who awarded us Outstanding status. We have campuses in Truro, Penzance and Bodmin, all of which offer an exceptional range of courses and world leading facilities.

As a nationally leading educational institution, we’re constantly investing in the future.

We offer a range of benefits for our team, including: competitive salaries, occupational pension schemes for academic and support staff, supportive family-friendly and flexible working policies, generous holiday and sickness entitlements.

What To Expect

There is a lot to see and do at an open day, so we will provide an event guide when you arrive, who will help you find your way around campus. When you arrive at your destination, our friendly team of tutors and staff will be waiting to give you more information about the teaching opportunities and help with any queries you may have.

There’ll be access to our team, their expertise and facilities, helping you develop an understanding of the outstanding resources and opportunities that are available at Truro & Penwith.

You will also have the opportunity to network with other experts in your field, see some of our state-of-the-art equipment, and discuss some of the latest trends in your industry.

There are talks and opportunities to meet the team throughout your visit, and there’s no need to stay all day. Call in for half an hour, or get carried away and spend the day with us. Flexibility is at the heart of what we offer.

Before You Go

If you’re planning to travel by car, parking for the event will be clearly signposted.

If you’re planning to travel by bus, the Langarth Park and Ride is on the main road a few minutes away from the College and there are bus stops right outside the campus. To view the latest and upcoming timetables please visit the First Website.

Your journey will start at the Valency building, where one of our friendly guides will direct you to the facility that matches your special area of expertise.
