Truro and Penwith College is an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding', tertiary and further education college in Cornwall, England.

The College day for full-time students usually starts at 9.15am and finishes at 4.15pm.

The College year starts with the academic year in early September. You can find term dates at truro-penwith.ac.uk/term-dates.

The College offers 30 Apprenticeship programmes that support quality careers with some of Cornwall's top employers in a wide range of sectors from Business, Marketing, Accountancy and Information Technology to Engineering, Construction, Automotive, Hospitality, Hair & Beauty and more. In 2023 there are 5,408 students. 4,199 students studying a Level 3 course, 836 studying at Level 2 and 373 studying at Level 1. 

Course timetables are given out on your first day at College. You will receive correspondence from Admissions explaining the process before you start.

We were very proud to see 12 of our students successful in their Oxbridge applications in 2023. The twelve represent success for nearly a quarter of the students who applied, placing the College well over the national average success rate for independent schools and colleges of 20%. We strongly recommend making an application for your chosen course as soon as you can when you are in your final year of school. After you have submitted your application, you will be invited to attend an interview where you can make amendments to your application if need be.

Truro and Penwith College is open to its students Monday to Friday during term times. The College opens its doors to the public on open events which can occur on Saturdays. To find out more about our open events visit truro-penwith.ac.uk/events.

If you are aged over 16 or under 19 on 31 August, you will not normally be charged fees for tuition. Overseas students or mature students will be liable for fees.
