Course Studied: BA (Hons) Human Behavioural Studies
Hometown: Penzance
My Story:
After completing a Foundation degree in Community Studies with the University Centre Truro & Penwith, Abdul decided to do a top up year and complete the BA (Hons) Human Behavioural Studies after having a keen interest in mental health and its impact within his first two years of study.
Abudl studied at both Truro campus and Penwith campus during his Level 2 and 3 studies in Health and Social care and preforming arts was excited to return to study for a degree.
Abdul said: “Part of the course was to look into development of children in education, how children can be affected by things such as social media, as well as issues in mental health, I found it so interesting and having that interest really helped me with the course in general”
“The course was really varied and we explored a lot of different areas during the year. It was great to have a small class too so that we could discuss things easily too”
“At first I found it hard, but it involved things I was interested in, I really enjoyed it and I was so happy with my result at the end”
“It was good to meet different people, it helped me with my growth too as a person”
“Doing this degree was my favourite part my education journey, It was a challenging time due to covid, so we have had to adapt to that, but I still really enjoyed it and had a great time”
