Completing the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management taught Engagement Officer Rose valuable tools and techniques to enhance staff motivation and retention, improve efficiency, and streamline communication within the workplace.

Rose found assignments relevant to real-life scenarios which facilitated practical application in the workplace. Rose found the course and assignments encourage learners to reflect on their own ability, strengths, weaknesses and understanding while learning new skills related to leadership and management.

Rose felt supported throughout her learning experience and said: “The course tutor was incredibly helpful and is very good at supporting participants through the course. The course has definitely given me more confidence in my ability as a manager and helped me identify areas I need to work on.”

Having found the ILM programme such a positive and rewarding experience, Rose is now interested in progressing to the ILM Level 5 in Leadership & Management.

Rose continued: “It is totally worth the short-term challenge as the skills and learning gained from taking part in the course has been totally worth it and will stay with me for life.

“My manager has been delighted with my progress on the course and has seen how I have been putting what I have been learning into practice straight away.”
