Course: HNC Construction
My Story:
Tom previously studied an Extended Diploma in Music at College before going into full time employment with the Duchy of Cornwall working as a Trainee Design Manager. When looking to get into construction and the study options, Tom decided to head to Devon to complete his first year of a Construction course. It was after finding out that he could actually study HNC Construction at the University Centre that he decided to transfer so he could study much closer to home.
Tom said: “The class sizes on my course are small which allows close interaction between lecturers and students and also clear instruction, which is great.”
“As a working parent I have been able to be flexible and I have had good support from when required. Its been beneficial to me and my family that i have been able to study locally.”
“The course is really well stuctured and the lecturers have been very helpful.”
Tom advises thoe thinking about their next steps “Look into apprenticeships and courses on offer at the University Centre the team here can really help you with finding the right thing for you.”
