After completing a customer service apprenticeship, Cherry started working as a customer service advisor in the commercial sector before progressing onto management roles. The customer experience Cherry gained from these roles, both working in the industry and as part of the College’s Apprenticeship recruitment teams, has been hugely beneficial to her role as Business Development Advisor. From her previous roles, she has gained a vast amount of knowledge that will be invaluable to the businesses she works with, including an understanding of how to deliver a high level of customer service, as well as how to ensure customer expectations are managed and met.
More recently, Cherry’s career development has seen her transition into the education sector which has not only taught her how diverse the industries are but also provided her with the opportunity to develop and refine her skills further making her an asset to the Truro and Penwith College Business team. Cherry is a positive, reliable person and is very responsive to individual needs. She recognises the importance of working with employers to ensure Apprentices are given the time, dedication and support they need as well as how to learn and grow within the organisation.
Outside of the workplace, Cherry enjoys spending time with her family, being outside and watching live music.
