Kirsty is one of the Deputy Deans for the University Centre Truro & Penwith and is responsible for carrying out data analysis on datasets from a variety of sources to help the management team make data-driven decisions which will benefit our HE students. She is also responsible for monitoring the data which feeds into regulatory compliance.
Having studied at Truro College for her A-levels, Kirsty completed her degree at the University of Exeter before completing her PGCE with Cornwall SCITT, based at Truro College. She taught in local secondary schools for 3 years before joining Truro and Penwith College in 2016 as a lecturer in A-level Biology as well as delivering the Mathematics and Medical Physics components on the Extended Diploma in Applied Science.
She became a Deputy Team Leader for Science and course lead for A-level Biology in 2022 before being appointed to her current position in 2024. She is excited to contribute to the future success of Higher Education at the University Centre Truro and Penwith. She is proud to be part of an incredibly skilled and experienced team who work extremely hard to provide access to excellent quality Higher Education which will help our students to pursue their career aims and contribute to their community in Cornwall.
