This is a unique opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to work weekdays at Truro and Penwith College, taking a lead on maintaining and undertaking general repairs to joinery, woodwork and ironmongery components throughout the College buildings.
Applicants should hold a Level 2 or above in carpentry and have the technical skills to carry out carpentry works to a good standard. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of managing or supervising small discipline of works and experience in fitting and maintaining fire doors along with this qualification/accreditation would be desirable.
The main priority of this role is to respond to carpentry, joinery and general building maintenance related defect reports as required; carrying out initial investigation and carry out repairs/works.
