Learning Services Tutors – English and Study skills or Maths (Penzance and/or Truro)  

Truro & Penwith College are looking to recruit Learning Services Tutors at both campuses. Candidates should be qualified to degree level with at least A level and GCSE Maths or English. The key duties of the post involve organising and delivery of Maths, English and/or study skills to support to students from entry level up to Level 3 (A level). Candidates would be allocated to specialism based on experience and qualifications and there is scope for the right candidate to focus on entry levels up to GCSE Maths/English without the A level requirement where they have appropriate student facing experience. Good IT skills are essential, as is a flexible and positive approach to supporting learners.

This post would be suitable for experienced teachers/tutors who would like a change from the classroom environment while still being student facing, those looking for progression within learning support roles or a person who has recently qualified/graduated and would like to pass on their skills/knowledge to learners.  

Applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with students and colleagues at all levels.
