We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated lecturer at our Truro Campus with appropriate academic and teaching qualifications. The successful candidate will be required to teach on the A level Sociology programme &/or the Applied Diploma in Criminology, which is a new course that we will be running from September 2023. There may also be opportunity to teach on our Access to Higher Education course. The candidate will have the ability to inspire students and maintain excellent working relationships in a successful Humanities & Social Sciences department.
The candidate will be learner and quality focused. They will be expected to provide high quality teaching on education programmes, and to contribute to providing an outstanding learning experience for our students. They will be able to work with a wide variety of ability levels and be a committed team member that shows clear initiative and innovation, motivating our students to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate is also likely to have responsibility for a tutor group and therefore needs to be committed to our tutorial programme and be able to provide outstanding pastoral support. Applicants should hold a degree or similar professional qualifications and a recognised teaching qualification.
