An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the growing IT & Computing team as a trainee lecturer. This position will ideally be filled by an enthusiastic, committed personality looking to make the move from industry to education. The IT & Computing department is expanding in several specialist areas and the successful candidate will have recent, relevant experience in the field of networking and security. These skills will be used to teach across several programmes including T level, BTEC Diploma and Access courses.
As part of the College’s commitment to the teacher training process and in recognition of the localised skills shortage the successful applicant will help to address, this position will include a fully funded 2-year, part time PGCE/Cert-Ed qualification. Acceptance on to the PGCE/Cert-Ed programme is a requirement of this position.
The successful applicant will be required to provide high quality teaching on education programmes and contribute to providing an outstanding learning experience for our students. A commitment to curriculum development and a flexible approach to teaching and learning are required. They will also need to work with confidence with a wide variety of ability levels and project enthusiasm for all aspects of the subject.
