Sarah’s Story

She is now studying the Foundation Art Diploma at the University Centre Truro & Penwith, using the year to explore her passion for art while enjoying the freedom, support, and opportunities her college experience provided in a university-level setting.
Rebecca’s Story
A* achiever Rebecca has secured a place at Cambridge. She credits supportive teachers and new friendships for her success, reflecting on college as a stepping stone that prepared her academically and socially for the next stage of her journey.
Emily’s Story
After excelling at GCSEs and A Levels at Truro College, Emily went on to study Business Management and Marketing at Cardiff University. Now building her career in customer service and sales, Emily credits her College experience with giving her the confidence, resilience, and skills to succeed.
Poppy’s Story
Poppy was able to go further during her time at Truro College by being a part of the brand-new Accelerate Programme, which aided her in achieving a place at Oxford University, as well as top A Level results.
Lauren – FdSc Law with Criminology
Law student Lauren plans to take all the steps towards her dream career as a fully qualified Law and Criminology lecturer here in Cornwall with the University Centre Truro and Penwith.
Lucy – BA (Hons) Education and Training
Lucy’s journey into teaching has been shaped by her determination to learn, her strong support network at college and university, and her passion for working with children. Having recently completed her BA in Education and Training; Lucy is now preparing to take the next step towards becoming a fully qualified Primary School teacher.
Jaydon – FdA Film, Media and Photography
Passionate about creativity and storytelling, Jaydon reflected on the freedom, support, and opportunities studying FdA Film, Media and Photography at the University Centre has given him in preparing for the future as a filmmaker.
