We welcome students with additional learning support needs. Our Progression Pathways department offers a range of courses for students to gain skills for personal progression, taking a tailored approach to individual learning needs.

The department specialises in the areas of profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism, severe and moderate learning difficulties, sensory processing and working with disengaged learners. We treat every student as unique, ensuring they receive the highest standard of education.

Our range of courses will help you to gain skills for personal progression – whether it’s accessing cross college education, employment or developing independent living skills.

As a student in Progression Pathways, you will be part of the College's most active group of students. You will be able to access a wide range of enrichment opportunities throughout your college timetable and enjoy learning in a fun and supportive environment.

Our ethos

The main driver for our department is to see learners' succeed at any level, improving their social and communication skills alongside progressing their academic abilities. Developing the whole learner through a wide array of innovative and developmental opportunities, all delivered in a supportive environment which is tailored and individualised to the learner.

where will it take you?

Due to the variety of courses within our department, learners will work towards various destinations. This can include further study within our cross-college provision, supported employment or alternative training opportunities. Some learners may transition to be supported by adult social care or supported living.
