My story:

Jack is one of the very first students in the UK to study a T Level course and could be the first to head to university after studying the new qualification. Corinthian Homes, a real estate developer, has supported Jack during his course as his work placement provider.

Jack’s plan is to continue to work for Corinthian Homes while completing a degree in construction at university.

Jack said: “I thought the T Level was a good option for me since I knew it would explore various sectors within construction, from both a management point of view and a more hands-on approach. T Levels are more flexible than other courses and give you a wider experience.

“In the first year our main project was planning, designing, constructing and marketing a potential housing estate. After all of my hard work and with the support from my tutor, I was delighted to achieve a Grade A for the first year.

“On my work placement I shadowed design leaders, mechanical and electrical managers, commercial managers and various construction operatives.

“My ambition is to become a site manager and I believe the T Level has really enabled this to become a reality.

“It’s cool, I’ll be getting work done, getting money and a degree. It’s turned out better than I ever imagined it would be.”
