My story:
Lesedi had access to great engineering facilities, resources and top industry insights at the College, including the use of the Valency building which features electronic and digital laboratories, engineering workshops, specialist welding facilities, a variety of industry-standard computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery and shared learning spaces.
Lesedi also found the College staff helpful, approachable and easy to learn from and has consequently secured an Apprenticeship with Teagle, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery.
“I found the course very enjoyable”, said Lesedi. “It helped me find out what I really want to do. At the start of my course I wanted to go into the Navy, but I discovered that it wasn’t the only thing I could do. The staff were always more than happy to help me and were so friendly. It was great to learn from them.
“After my course I’m going to start an Engineering Technician Apprenticeship with Teagle. It’s a really good company and I hope to stay on there when I finish.
“When you come to the College, be open-minded about what you want to do. There are lots of different options out there.”
