After two years of hard work and dedication over 1,600 A Level, Vocational Diploma and T Level students collected their results in August. With almost 1,000 students leaving College having secured entry to their first-choice university, this year is the culmination of their efforts and diligence, supported through the care, expertise and dedication of our excellent staff.

Subjects studied: Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science with the Rugby Academy
Former school: Pool Academy
What’s next: Hartbury University to study Sport Therapy and play for Gloucester Rugby
My story:
Lucie was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to play for Gloucester in the Premiership and has commended the Rugby Academy as well as her studies as a contributing factor to her success.
Lucie said: “I enjoyed college more compared to school. It’s the freedom that comes with it.
“My lecturers wanted to help with everything I was doing and the academy helped me get to where I am now. It’s amazing really. I’m off to Hartbury University to study Sport Therapy, which can lead me down different career routes in sport. I’m looking down the sport therapy route, but I could also do strength and conditioning.
“The academy coach has made my rugby skills grow so much that where I am now is just unbelievable. I played for Exeter chiefs U18s last year, which obviously helped that extra step. Gloucester saw what I had in me at a taster day, I had a call with them a couple of weeks ago and they offered me to do preseason with them in August. Hopefully, if that goes well, then I’ll be playing premiership in September.
When Lucie was asked if she had any advice for future students she said: “Always go for it! A lot of the time people don’t believe girls can play rugby, but we can. Just believe in yourself, make friends with the team and you’ll be good to go.”
