An incredible year for Level 3 Results

After two years of hard work and dedication over 1,600 A Level, Vocational Diploma and T Level students collected their results in August. With almost 1,000 students leaving College having secured entry to their first-choice university, this year is the culmination of their efforts and diligence, supported through the care, expertise and dedication of our excellent staff.

From 519 nominees, Truro college Apprentice Summer is one of five finalists for the VTCT Apprentice of the Year category.

“I have recently just passed my Maths GCSE, so next academic year I will move on to my Level 3 Apprenticeship. I now feel like nothing is holding me back from pursuing my dream career.”

Summer, our Level 2 Hair Professional Apprentice, has not only been nominated for the VTCT National Excellence Awards but also been shortlisted down from 519 nominees to the final 5 for the Apprentice of the Year category.

Summer has made a massive contribution to the team at Salon Vanilla. Described by her employer as having ‘exceptional’ skills, she is now able to offer consultations with confidence, make decisions on her own and carry out services impeccably.

From the moment Summer left school, she knew an Apprenticeship was for her. She commented: “I chose to come to Truro College because of the location and opportunity. I knew an Apprenticeship was the right option when I left school. And I am so glad I did it at Truro College. All my friends, lecturers and employer have been so supportive.

“Being nominated for something like VTCT is incredible. I have recently just passed my Maths GCSE, so next academic year I will move on to my Level 3 Apprenticeship. I now feel like nothing is holding me back from pursuing my dream career.”
