Emily is the Associate Director of the University Centre Truro & Penwith and is responsible for leading the HE team, course developments and enhancing recruitment, retention and achievement of HE students.
Joining Truro College in 2013 as a lecturer in Biology and module leader for FdSc Biomedical Science, Emily gained valuable experience in both Further Education and Higher Education teaching. Her commitment to education led her to complete a post-16 PGCE, providing insight into the student experience at the University Centre. Emily’s role expanded over the years as she became Programme Leader for FdSc, developed HNC/D Applied Biology courses, and assumed the role of Deputy Team Leader for science in 2017. In 2023, she was appointed as the Head of University Centre and is looking forward to shaping the future of Higher Education at Truro and Penwith.
