Course: Access to Science

Currently Studying: Paramedic Science at Plymouth University

Bex was working as a Cafe supervisor when she made the decision to return to education and retrain. Having previously completed a Level 3 diploma in Creative Media and 4 years out of education, it was a big decision, but Bex decided she wanted to sign up to an Access to Science course to set her on the path of perusing her dream career.

Bex said: “I realised to do what I aspired to do, this was the route I needed to take.

“The Access course helped me get prepared for University with the content and knowledge it gave me. I have enjoyed comparing the knowledge difference from when I started to know, especially Chemistry and Biology!

“My advice to anyone thinking of doing an Access course is, it gets easier!

“It can be overwhelming, but you are not on your own and it’s important to remember that everyone there is on a similar journey.”

Bex has moved on to her Paramedic Science degree at Plymouth University to continue to her education journey.
