My story:
Gwen joined the Jewellery pathway of the Art and Design Academy alongside her full-time programme of studies as she wanted to try something new at College away from her chosen A Levels.
“At College, you have the opportunity to learn and do something you can’t do at school, and learn a skill that is completely different,” said Gwen. “The Jewellery pathway is a nice, creative outlet.
“I didn’t know a lot about jewellery before joining, specifically how jewellery was physically made, but I have now learnt how to design jewellery and how to make pieces.
“I found out about the Jewellery pathway of the Art and Design Academy through studying my Fine Art A Level. Our tutor brought it up in class and I thought, that is what I want to do, and I started it at the start of term.”
