Course: Skills Bootcamp in Clinical Pathways in Health and Care
My Story:
Arianna had already started to develop her skills and transition into a clinical role through an in-house phlebotomy training programme provided by her employer.
“I did the Skills Bootcamp to learn other clinically relevant skills, to build my knowledge and gain a better understanding of the clinical role.”
Following the completion of the Skills Bootcamp, Arianna was able to put her new knowledge into practice to enhance the patient experience in her clinics. She has learned how to provide quality care, meet individual needs, and become more involved in the clinical environment.
The Skills Bootcamp has provided her with a deeper understanding of clinical pathways and how to adopt an evidence-based, practical approach to patient care. Besides the technical skills, Arianna has learned to manage her time effectively, balancing her studies with work and personal commitments. Arianna feels this is exactly what she needs to inject a fresh perspective into her future career aspirations.
Arianna appreciated the supportive learning environment and protected study time Truro and Penwith College provided to allow her to focus on her coursework without feeling overwhelmed.
By taking the course, Arianna has truly examined her potential and found a clear path forward.
“The best thing about the course is the friendly people and helpful lecturers,” she said. “They created an atmosphere where I felt comfortable asking questions and seeking help whenever needed.”
Arianna’s background and experience working in healthcare has provided a good grounding for the course but she was also able to learn new skills which will allow her to understand the different career options she has.
“The course has inspired me to one day complete my adult nursing degree,” Arianna commented. “It has given me a new perspective on my career and the opportunities available within healthcare.”
Looking back at her experience, she added, “I really enjoyed my time and will miss the course.”
When asked what advice she would give to someone considering enrolling in the course, Arianna stated “Just do it! You are well supported throughout. The course provides the perfect blend of practical and theoretical learning, and you will come away with skills and knowledge that will serve you in any healthcare setting.”
In all, Arianna’s experience through the Skills Bootcamp in Clinical Pathways in Health and Care has been transformative, not only acquiring the practical skills needed for a clinical role but also building her confidence to pursue her long-term career goals in nursing.
She encourages others to seize the opportunity to build their knowledge and take the next step in their healthcare careers.
