Course: HND Applied Psychology

Hometown: Camborne

My Story:

With her children being older, Kelly felt like she could return to education and study something that she has an interest in and has always wanted to study. After completing a Social Sciences access course locally, she discovered the HND Applied Psychology course at the University Centre Truro & Penwith.

Kelly said: “Psychology is something I’ve wanted to study for a long time and the HND applied psychology covers everything which gives a stepping stone and insight to exactly what direction in the field to go down”

“The college lessons cater for mature students with extra responsibilities which helps a lot”

“I was advised to take a look at Penwith campus. I instantly knew it was where I wanted to be. It reminds me of the entrance to a health retreat! It’s so peaceful there too. The journey into Penzance is also the highlight to my day and sets me up with the beautiful view of the sea and at Michaels mount. That’s something I could never take for granted”

“My course is structured so well and there’s constant support from an amazing team of wonderful people”

“I’m so grateful to be studying where I am. I look forward to my classes and being on campus so, although the end result of getting a degree is exciting, I’m enjoying the whole process and living for the moment”
