An incredible year for Level 3 Results

After two years of hard work and dedication over 1,600 A Level, Vocational Diploma and T Level students collected their results in August. With almost 1,000 students leaving College having secured entry to their first-choice university, this year is the culmination of their efforts and diligence, supported through the care, expertise and dedication of our excellent staff.

Truro and Penwith College student, Silas, is enthusiastic about the future following his time studying the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art, Design & Communication. 

Originally from Falmouth, Silas joined the College harbouring ambitions of realising his creative potential. Already receiving recognition, Silas recently won the ‘Truro College Art Award’ at this year’s annual College exhibition. 

After receiving this accolade, Silas spoke highly about his experiences thus far at Truro and Penwith College: “I’ve really enjoyed the course. It has been hard at points, but I love the creativity. The lecturers have all been really supportive; I’d say they are what makes the course.” 

Silas’ experiences studying on the course has inspired him to pursue UAL Level 4 Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at the University Centre Truro & Penwith. Whilst remaining broad-minded and keen to experiment with different mediums, he is eager to further explore areas surrounding lighting and product design. 

On advice for prospective students interested in Art & Design, Silas commented: “Be open-minded and don’t constrain yourself to one thing. Don’t be afraid to try new things in the moment.”
