Work Placements - All our students are keen to get out into the working environment and undertake work placements. The Job Shop can advertise possible placements in your business; whether it is for a couple of days to help out at a busy time or something more concrete like 1 or 2 days a week. The clip below provides details of work placement learning within the college environment.
Enterprise Learning - The Job Shop provides opportunities for businesses to get involved in Enterprise Learning. Enterprise Learning allows students to undertake real life projects for businesses. Examples so far have been designing websites for local hotels, undertaking a social media campaign for a community group as well running marketing campaigns for sports clubs. The process involves students meeting a local company, obtaining a project brief, undertake the project using the colleges resources and then presenting their ideas and materials back to the company who are then able to use any of the student’s ideas or resources if desired.
