My story:
Rebecca chose the Health and Social Care Diploma at Penwith College to pursue her dream of being a midwife, an ambition she has had since she was 10 years old. This course offers work experience alongside theory work, which Rebecca was able to use in her personal statement to support her successful application with Bournemouth University.
“If you come in for an Open Day, I would suggest speaking to any students you may know in the year above”, said Rebecca, “as they will give great insights about the lecturers, the campus, class sizes and what life is like as a student at the College.
“Before applying to Penwith College I went through the prospectus and I found it really informative.
“We do a lot of concentrated work in Health and Social Care and our learning is all directly relevant to the industry. It is equivalent to 3 A levels and is just as much hard work, but it’s worth it.
“I definitely recommend Health and Social Care at Penwith College. We have some wonderful and supportive lecturers.
“I have wanted to be a midwife since I was about 10 years old, so I am really excited to go away and start my studies.”
