ASD focuses on the individual student; the timetable, target setting, review procedures and transition are person centred. At the end of the first year a Progression Pathway for each student is determined, which takes into account their individual aspirations. The focus here is to develop communication skills/social skills, all aspects of self-care and making choices. For all students our aim is to promote lifelong learning and to help them reach their potential as valued members of society. Truro College is a positive and inclusive learning environment. Our well-resourced department means we are able to uphold this ethos, endeavouring to provide an empowering, successful education for all our students.
