Former hometown: Truro
What’s next: Work full-time in the hospitality industry
My story:
Joe gained hospitality insights from some of the country’s top chefs including Rick Stein, Paul Ainsworth and Michael Caines which helped boost his knowledge of the industry. Joe also joined the Rick Stein Academy which provides training and opportunities for the hospitality sector’s future talent.
Joe said: “Lecturers are supportive and will always be there to help you out. The skills I have learnt in the kitchen have helped boost my confidence which is helping me find employment.
“If you are new to the course or the kitchen, you need to be the kind of person that deals with pressure and likes getting stuck into it.
“After college I want to go straight into full-time work and get some years under my belt. I want to climb higher in my career journey by gaining more experience.
“The location of the College is perfect for me. It’s right near the town centre!”
