Chloe Pym, Level 2 Beauty Therapy Apprentice at the Headland Hotel Spa, decided an Apprenticeship was the right path for her when she realised she could get a qualification and earn a wage working in an area that she was passionate about.
“I have found that the flexibility of an Apprenticeship really works for me, I can learn at a pace that suits me and not only do I have the support from my college tutor, but also my managers and colleagues at work. I’ve also been given extra on-the-job training to enhance
what I’m already learning in my Apprenticeship,” Chloe said.
As someone who enjoys the practical aspect of learning, Chloe has been able to develop her confidence in multiple areas due to a number of responsibilities at the Headland Hotel; from carrying out treatments to working on the reception desk.
“Having the client interaction has been invaluable for me. I meet new people every day and get to earn money in the process alongside making some great friends at both work and college in an environment that I love being in.”
Chloe is confident that once she has completed her Apprenticeship, she will be equipped with the skills and experience needed to progress with her chosen career in the beauty industry.
