Daniel Hutchings, Operations Manager at WES, started off as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice at WES Engineering Solutions Ltd, which led him to his current senior position within the company.
“Choosing an Apprenticeship was an easy decision for me as not only would I get the same opportunities as all staff members, but I could earn a wage and gain invaluable experience working alongside experienced engineers.”
The training Daniel received gave him great grounding and understanding of the industry, which allowed him to progress within the company to his current role as an Operations Manager; in which Daniel manages all production for WES Hardmetal Engineering, Welding Electrode Store Ltd and BCC (British Classic Car Parts).
Choosing the right employer was key for Daniel when looking to start an Apprenticeship.
“WES shared the same goals as myself in terms of staff retention after an Apprenticeship, they also provided the chance for further training and progression within the business.”
“As the Operations Manager at WES, I would highly recommend an Apprenticeship. It’s a fantastic way to gain the skills you need to progress in a business while gaining an industry recognised qualification.”
